just sad

What a sorry post title but it's how I feel today.

I just feel sad.

I'm not without hope for the future...

I'm not without love for the moment...

I'm just sad.

Sad that someone I love can get cancer and die, and I can't do one thing about it.

Sad that cancer still has the power to stike a family twice.

This world is so full of hurts, disappointments, pain, and grief.

Today I'm sad that I know first hand how brief life really is...

My heartfelt prayer: Dear Jesus, When are You coming? My soul longs for Your return. My soul cries out "how much longer, Lord?" What a conflict I find my soul in... my heart is longing to be complete in Your presence, yet... my soul weeps for those who still don't know You. Strengthen me for Your work today. Renew my hope for today. Love, Jennifer

Jesus needed the ministry of angels so He understands our sadness and fears. He is with you today. May His angels reach out and comfort you.

Hey Jennifer, it's okay to be sad, and I'm just so sorry that your heart has to hurt and that you don't have your Mama to talk to. But I am so glad that you have Jesus to talk to, and He knows how you feel - what's that song say, "My Jesus knows just what I need; He satisifies, my every need supplies, oh, yes, He knows just what I need." I'm thinking about you and pray for you daily. Give Claudia and Lorenzo a hug for me.
Love you,
Aunt Becky

Jennifer, dear sweet Jennifer,
You are so precious to us and to the Savior. I read just yesterday in my quiet time Psalm 34 as follows:

V15 "The eyes of the LORD watch over those who do right; his ears are open to their cries for help."
v18 "The LORD is close to the brokenhearted; He rescues those who are crushed in spirit."
v19 "The righteous face many troubles, but the LORD rescues them from each and every one."

He said, "Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you." So reach up - He's there to put His loving arms around you. Uncle Terry and I put ours around you to lift you to the Savior.

We love you!

Jennifer,

I was feeling the same way yesterday as I missed my mother and daddy. Some days are just like that, because the weight of our love is so great. Springtime reminds me of happier days, yet the happiest day of all will be reunion day in heaven! In the meantime, join me in pressing on. That's God's plan for those of us with work still to do, and it's what would make your mom proud and happy. She instilled in you such a zest for life. You can do this. I know it and Jesus knows it.

Press on!

Dear Jennifer,

I often check-in on your blog--hoping you've written a new post.

I'm glad to see you've shared with us again--especially since you're feeling sad. Even in blogland we can share one another's burdens.

I teach an adult Sunday School class, and this past Sunday we talked about looking for the Lord's coming...and how we felt about it.

It is a blessed hope, of course. However, for those of us who have not yet entered the Church Triumphant....well, we've got work to do!

I'm so glad you and I are on the same team--our Father's team!

Love,

Myra

previously posting as Kate....it's a long story ;-)

Hi Jennifer, I agree sometimes we are just sad and at those times we are told to look to God as our source.

Talk to your Father God and just pour your heart out, sadnes can be a fleeting thing and Happiness is just a heart beat away.

Happy Moments, Praise God
Difficult moments, Seek God
Quiet moments, Worship God
Painful moments, Trust God
Every moment, Thank God

I have seen you do all of the above in this wonderful blog where you share Jesus with us.

Many Blessings

Jennifer, as you can read in my last post, I too have experienced a moment of blue too, but I am always reminded of the scripture that weeping may endure for the night but joy comes in the morning. Morning can't come too soon.
Bless you, as you wait for the morning, and I pray that all the joy the Lord can afford will come with it.
